Measuring for your cap size

Use the following chart as a guide line for measurements.  Print the page and write down your measurements.  Check them twice for accuracy.  When you place any order your measurements will be required.

Step 1. Flatten your hair, use a wig cap or braid your hair close the head to make your measurements.

Step 2. Use a cloth/Vinyl/plastic tape measure

Step 3. Use the chart below to take your measurements. Please sure to do this at least twice.

Step 4. Record your measurements

Important to note: Do not pull the tape measure when measuring.  Pulling the tape measure will give you inaccurate measurements.

This second set of measurement's will ensure that your wig not only fits your head size but also frames your face. Be sure to measure twice for accuracy.
1. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones. Write down the measurement.
2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point. Write down the measurement.
3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Generally the widest point will be somewhere about halfway between your eyebrows and your hairline. Write down the measurement.
4. Measure from the tip of your hairline to the bottom of your chin.

Hair density

Hair density is simply how many hairs are added to your hair system base. In earlier years, high density was necessary because the base materials were usually made of thicker materials and would be easily exposed if hair density were low.

More recently, with the advance of thinner base materials such as lace and thin skin, low density tends to look more natural especially with the see through look along the hairlines. You can chose different hair density in different areas of the base.

We generally recommends light density at the hairline and crown gradually increasing to medium density then medium density throughout the lace wig (blended well).

Most of our wigs are made with Medium Density (120%). Also, if you like you can have heavy density.

  • Light Density is an average head of hair
  • Light to Medium Density is considered 110% thickness of an average head of hair
  • Medium Density is considered 120% thickness of an average head of hair (This is thick)
  • Medium to Heavy Density is considered 130% thickness of an average head of hair (This is very thick)
  • Heavy Density is 150% thickness of an average head of hair (This is very very thick)
  • High Thick Density is 180% thickness of an average head of hair (This is extra thick)
